Making the Magic Bean choclate cakes in a Clever Cook Bake class

Making Magic Bean chocolate cakes

What an unbelievable year I have had blogging! I have learnt so much and had such a good time, writing & connecting with people the world over.

I want to thank each and every one of you for joining me in this journey and hope that I can continue to inspire you to cook whole, healthy (and sometimes not-so-healthy) real food. This year I hope to fine tune my blog site, so expect a fresh look with more functionality. If there’s anything special you would like to see, send me a message, I would love to hear from you.

The friendly people at WordPress sent me a summary of number stats which amazed me. They told me that this blog had 25,000 views in 2012. WOW! More than I could have ever anticipated.

In 2012, I wrote 127 posts, not bad for my first year! There were 293 pictures uploaded, that’s about 6 pictures per week. The busiest day of the year was in March 369 views.

These are the posts that got the most views in 2012.

  1. Baking with Coconut Flour
  2. Thermomix Recipe of the Year!
  3. Homemade Washing Powder
  4. Raw cacao & goji berry bliss balls
  5. Paleo Proof Bread – This is IT!

Visitors to my site came from all over the world – 85 countries in all! Most visitors came from Australia but the United States & the United Kingdom were not far behind.

I guess now would be a good time to tell you which were my favorite recipes. As I look back I know my recipes have become more and more Paleo based which may not appeal to some but I do believe that the move away from processed foods including sugar and wheat have contributed to our epidemic of unwellness that we, as humans, suffer across the globe.

Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE BREAD and SUGAR! I have just learnt that in our society of excess we have way too much of it and that these things make me feel sub-par. I want to feel the best that I can.

Anyway, I digress. My favorite recipes do depend on my mood but to choose I few, I would say:

Again, thank you to all who followed me and especially to my wonderful husband for his unwavering support and belief in me! He must be well & truly worn out making 24,800 hits for me!!!
